What better way to celebrate the 4th of July in Asheville after a long weekend of dancing than tubing down the French Broad River? We've organized a tubing trip down the river through Zen Tubing (South Asheville Location). Depending on the water level, expect the trip to take anywhere from 2-3 hours.
Because we need MORE FUN, we are also making this a music jam while we float. If you play an instrument that you don't mind potentially getting a little soggy, bring it along and call a few tunes. We will get some floating coolers, so you can throw drinks (alcoholic or not) and snacks in there as well to sustain you while you float. Can't play music without music? We have you covered- we'll have some easy charts in plastic sleeves on the river, and We have also uploaded them HERE (they are from the Lindy Focus jam book).
The cost is $15- please bring exact change and give it to the person holding the 'Blue Ridge Bal' sign. If we pay together, we get the group rate
IMPORTANT: PLEASE CARPOOL and arrive at the location at no later than 10:30 am, so that we can make sure that everyone has paid and so that we can leave promptly at 11- maybe a few minutes earlier.
Below is a list of helpful items you should bring to fully enjoy on the river. We highly recommend wearing foot protection (crocks, water sandals, old sneakers, etc). If you forget to bring anything, Zen Tubing offers many items in their store.
- Footwear (flip flops, sandals, old sneakers, crocks, etc.)
- Directions to South Asheville Location
- Visors or hats
- Swim wear or clothing you don’t mind getting wet
- Extra money for snacks or souvenirs
- Waterproof camera
- A chill attitude
